Dont do these 3 things for your teeth!

There are plenty of myths swirling around when it comes to taking care of your teeth, but some are doing more harm than good! 🚩

That’s why today, we’d like to dispel some of those myths and ensure the guidance you’re following to protect your teeth is right

  • Harder bristles provide a better clean.

Whilst we recommend you change your toothbrush every 3-4 months to ensure the bristles are working as effectively as possible, the concept that more rigid bristles provide a better clean is a complete myth!

The concern here is that you can cause gum recession due to overbrushing!

  • The more you brush your teeth, the better your oral hygiene will be

Unfortunately, this is a myth.

It actually all comes down to the time you spend brushing. The average person brushes their teeth for 48 seconds, while we will always recommend you aim for a two-minute brushing period twice a day.

⭐Quality cleaning > quantity of cleaning – every time!

  • Bleeding gums are just a consequence of brushing too hard.

Don’t ignore the blood in the sink!

Bleeding gums could be the first indicator of something more sinister, such as gum disease. So, we’d advise you to speak to your dentist about this concern before ignoring it.
